Our 2012 planning has been completed- We will deliver as many as 41 different vegetables and herbs to the market during the upcoming harvesting season. This year will be another exciting year for us as we will celebrate our fourth year since we established Aliabaad Farm. Our offering of FTDT (Farm-to-Dinner Table) is one way we share what we plant here at Aliabaad Farm. You must come to see it.

Save $30 to $50 per week- Our CSA members save an average of $30 – $50 a week! After reviewing our records, we noticed that most of our non-CSA customers purchased an average of $60 to $80 per week without the benefit of receiving all of our produce each week! Becoming a full member will entitle you to everything we have each week during the harvesting season for only $27/week. Plus, you receive a dozen free-range eggs valued at $4.50 every other week, which reduces your cost to only $24.75/week. Become our CSA member and let us spoil you with over 41 different products.

CSA (Co-Op) Program-We are currently accepting applications and offering a 5% discount for those who register prior to March 1, 2012. Registering early will help both your household and the farm. Aliabaad Farm benefits from securing a customer while you, the consumer, benefit from the best produce available on our farm. Join our CSA program by visiting WWW.ALIABAAD.COM

Planting starts NOW- We have gathered over 41 different seeds (vegetables and herbs) to plant this year. During the 1st week of February, we clean the greenhouse and close all the cracks and holes to make it airtight. Then, using our planning sheet we begin seeding on the flats. We are planning to plant as many as 500 seeds during the first two weeks of February. We welcome CSA members who would like to take part in the seeding phase.

THIS WEEK WE OFFER:

Free-range eggs – $4.50/dozen or $4.00/(3 dozen and more). Same-day eggs are available if you call or email before 12:00noon.

Free-range chicken (fresh & limited) – $16 (must order by Friday for delivery by the following Tuesday)

Tomato Sauce (scarlet red) – $8.00/(large jar)

While January is the first month of the New Year it is the end of our Crops forecasting for farming production so that we can start our seeds during the first week of February! As business gigs call it “Time to Market” is only 80 to 90 days set by Mother Nature and there is no room for late delivery. As most of engineers or software developers agree (HA HA) 95% ready is not a good product!

To give a little insight following are sample time tables of few produce from seeds to harvesting:
